I’m Melanie and I established Petites Voix because I love speaking French and I believe that it is never too early for a child to learn – and learn to love – another language!

I am a fluent French speaker. Before moving to Bristol, I lived in France for 5 years, studying and working in marketing. I have extensive experience of working with pre-school children: I was an au pair
in France for 2 years and an early years teacher in a nursery
in Australia while living there for a year.

As a mum of two, I understand what parents and children like to get out of a weekly activity class.

I am helped by two other teachers, Cleo and Tamar, both of whom are mums and have spent time living in France like myself!

I look forward to meeting you and introducing you to French through Petites Voix!
